Sterling Club

The Sterling Club is a place where adults with serious mental illnesses have opportunities to access volunteer activities, paid employment and friends. The program services are provided in a community setting and in partnership between the staff and members of the Club.

Is It For Me?

Adults 17 years and older, residing in Westchester County who have a serious mental illness, are eligible to become members of the Sterling Club. Those interested in joining should schedule for a tour of the club and an interview with current members. This allows prospective members to have initial questions answered. After filling out an application, eligible members complete a four-day orientation, normally scheduled the middle of each month.

The Sterling Club is centered on the work-ordered day. When at the Club, members are asked to participate in one of the many work units. It is the participation of members, alongside staff, that helps the Club run on a day-to-day basis. All work at the Club is voluntary.

For information about the Sterling Club and/or to apply for membership, call the Administration Unit at 914-949-1212, extension 223, contact our Information and Referral Service at 914-345-5900, extension 240, or send an e-mail message to help@mhawestchester.org.
